I design with logic, insight, and an innate curiosity.
I am a Product Designer who thrives on complexity. My M.S. in Information Science, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction, drives me to deconstruct messy problems, but my passion for design and empathy for users ensures I rebuild them into solutions that feel simple, modern, and human.
At Appian, I design Case Management Studio, a platform that turns abstract business logic and processes into visual tools. My work centers on extensibility and scale—building foundational patterns that allow our customers to launch distinct, accessible, high-quality applications without starting from scratch.
Other things about me
You can often find me hiking, traveling, reading, or diving down a Wikipedia rabbit hole. I have always been a naturally curious person with a love for learning about the world around me. Exposing myself to the different aspects and perspectives of the world and the people in it is fun, and it helps me develop and improve on myself, too.

My Approach
Evidence-Based
I believe the best design decisions are justified. Whether it's usability testing or heuristic evaluation, I use data and insights to validate my design direction.
Problem Solver
I look beyond the immediate request to understand the context. By identifying the root cause of a user's difficulty, I can design a solution that works for the long term.
Purposeful Craft
I believe that robust architecture and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) are essential to a great experience, working alongside intentional design to make a product feel complete.
